Fresh timeless designs and meticulous attention to detail have earned LA-based design company FORM a devoted clientele and a growing portfolio of innovative, beautiful spaces.

FORM is the collaboration of Emmy award winning designer Joshua Rose and Chinese medical practitioner Rafael Kalichstein. Joshua’s years in visual effects and production design for film and television offer a unique and unparalleled perspective in the field of design. Rafael has had a nearly twenty-year journey in the world of Eastern healing and later became a certified practitioner of Black Hat Feng Shui, which practice he integrates into his design work. As designers, Joshua and Rafael believe that spaces speak. In order for a design to succeed it is
imperative that the designer listen.

Since its conception, FORM has completed nearly 100 projects across the country, including the US headquarters for multi-national film corporation Senator Entertainment; the LA headquarters for hospitality PR giant Wagstaff Worldwide; the landmark Sonoma eatery Catelli’s Restaurant; and myriad private residences for industry and celebrity clientele.

In 2012, FORM was asked to design the Entra Magazine lounge for the L.A. Art Show, which was photographed by the illustrious Mary Nichols, of Architectural Digest fame and featured on the pages of Entra Magzine. In 2013, they designed the Antonio’s Bella Casa window for the 5th Annual LEGENDS of La Cienega Deign Quarter and created a one-of-a-kind carry on bag for CELEBRATE, the Architecture and Design (A+D) Museum’s annual fundraiser. Garnering tremendous critical acclaim, FORM’s Sonoma county restaurant design was named “Best Outdoor Space” and “Reader’s Choice” by Interiors: CA. At the beginning of 2015, FORM was asked to design tables for the 30th annual Red and White Ball in Greenwich, CT, the Red Cross’s largest annual fundraiser, which was published in the Fairfield County Look. In addition, in 2015, FORM was selected as an official partner of the Roll Royce Owner’s Club of America, designating the firm among the nation’s most exclusive and talented set. FORM is presently developing product lines and designing hospitality, commercial and residential projects worldwide.

In January 2016, FORM will launch a furniture and accessory collection with Selamat Designs (with events sponsored by One King’s Lane), an art collection with LeftBank Art, and a stationery collection with Dempsey & Carroll. Among current projects are estates in Bel-Air, CA and Vermont, and a compound in Austin, TX.

FORM’s work has been published in C Magazine, Interiors: CA, InStyle Magazine, Rue Magazine, Entra Magazine, Angeleno magazine, as well as the Los Angeles Times, Domino Magazine, Home Style Magazine, Angeleno Interiors and can frequently be found on the pages of ApartmentTherapy.com and Houzz.com. FORM has been featured on Televsion in NBC’s Open House and HGTV’s Design Wars, and on HGTV.com.
