Neil was born and raised in San Diego, California where he studied Fine Art, Drawing and Painting, with an emphasis on the figure at Long Beach State. Growing up in San Diego, he had a wide variety of inspirations, from comic books and graffiti to the traditional European masters in the San Diego Museum of Art, which he used to learn and build his craft and skill.

While studying in school, contemporary artists honed-in his craft.  That had a huge influence in his interest with the combination of representational and abstract art.

Neil believes art can mean anything. For him, it’s an expression and a story. He finds inspiration through every day experiences. This can be through Neil’s interactions with people, nature, urban areas and more. Neil uses charcoal, graphite, oil paints, and acrylic mediums.

In Neil’s free time, he enjoys sports, social drinking, hiking, camping.
