Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, Sharon received her professional training through Virginia Commonwealth University, studied as an exchange student in England, and was awarded a Fellowship Grant from The Virginia Museum of Fine Art for Painting and Printmaking.

She enjoys traditional drawing and painting, while staying open to the possibilities of blending those techniques with new media as well. This gives her greater range of tools to work with and can be its own source of inspiration in transforming the way in which her ideas come to express themselves.
