Mitchell Bloch was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1953. His interest in photography was developed by his father Michael at the tender age of eight. As a young teen he moved with his family to Long Island, New York. He moved again when he was 19 to the South Florida area where he gained additional knowledge and skill in his art along with furthering his education at FAU.

Mitchell has been producing award winning artistic photography for more than 30 years. Over the years he has studied with such famous artists Michael Block (Mitchell’s father), Roy Dillworth, and most recently Digital Technology Center, along with world renowned Everglades photographer, Clyde Butcher.

As most photographers express themselves through one style or subject. Mitchell’s interpretation of the art is vast and his vision is not limited to one topic or technique. It would be impossible for him to view the entire world through one window. Mitchell’s attention to detail allows those of us who would simply see a group of trees or a root, to view the sculpted form that is visualized in his mind’s eye. He captures an essence that translates into a beautiful work of art.
Whether he is enjoying a day in the Everglades, an adventure in the Galapagos Islands, or simply photographing a beloved pet at home, we the observer may have a glimpse of the world through the eyes of Mitchell Bloch.
